I just happened to see this picture accidently and thought i would share my feelings in this blog.
No wonder this picture won the PULITZER prize for the best feauture photography to Kevin Carter in 1994.
This heart breaking picture was taken during the famine in sudan in 1993. It shows a starving sudanese girl struggling to get to the food centre while a vulture waiting to eat the poor dying girl.
It is a very tough feeling to think about the sufferings and poverty in Africa. Though a poor country, most of the sufferings were MANUFACTURED and successfully MAINTAINED by some of thepower savy ethnic groups and money minded western and european countries.
Asia is USED for cheap labour; Middle east is USED for oil; Africa is USED for diseases
It would be tough to accept the truth that most leading pharmaceutical companies see Africa as a potential drug market and drug testing lab.
Atleast from today i should stop wasting food in first place.
